Our work
Practical help. Human connection.
We respond to hunger and isolation through monthly supplies, community programmes and the energy of Team Uday.

01 · Fighting hunger
Feeding the deprived & needy.
Donating food supports the overall well-being of communities. When people have enough to eat, they are healthier and better able to participate in family and community life.
Uday Foundation organises monthly food and grocery distribution drives for less privileged and hungry communities across urban and rural Mumbai. We support old-age homes, orphanages, Gurudwara langars, remote villages and places that contact us for help.
02 · Spreading smiles
Caring for abandoned elderly people.
The Longitudinal Ageing Survey of India 2020 reported that 5% of people aged 60 or older had experienced ill-treatment. Many ageing parents face abandonment or relocation to old-age homes.
Our sing-and-dance programmes, birthday celebrations and visits create companionship and help residents step away from loneliness, even if only for an afternoon.

03 · Building confidence
Empowering underprivileged children.
We support children through nourishment, supplies and joyful community experiences. Our work has reached orphanages, homeless children and communities where a simple meal or creative activity can make the day feel different.
